If you can't beat them...

Robin ( Erithacus rubecula )

We have noticed a lot of Robin activity in the "woodland garden" recently.  We established they were nesting but obviously weren't going to go poking about looking in case they deserted.   The other day while sat watching the toing and froing I noticed a sudden patch of yellow.   It was the gape of the youngsters begging for the food being brought in.

Luckily once you knew where it was it is possible to have a clear view of the nest.  Clickychick took her tripod down an set up with a remote control so that when the adults returned she could get her shot.  This took a while so we left them alone.   Later I took this shot of an adult returning with a beak full of insects.
