Between fen and mountains

The English and French pair sit placid and serene as usual on the square to commemorate the Entente Cordiale Franco Anglaise signed in 1904. Long may  the entente continue although Brexit has put considerable strain on it. Today has been difficult in that I have had to spend the whole day trying to fix the car instead off packing and other jobs. Someone came from Perpignan, an hour away, and got it going but the jury is out whether it is a battery or electrical fault. The car is only a year old so it is annoying that it should prove unreliable just as we are about to set off on a long and complicated journey back to the UK.
