The Oriole Has Landed...

If I had known he was coming, I would have stocked up on oranges. Alas, I had none. Hope he is patient and will wait until I get out to shop! I love all the birds that hang out here, but it is a real treat to have these vividly coloured ones - blue jays, cardinals, gold finches, orioles  - adding some pizzazz to the garden. The oriole took me by surprise. I happened to look out the kitchen window and there he was at the feeder! I grabbed the camera, he took off for the tree, I shot wildly, and then he was gone....probably in search of more appealing food! Hope he returns.
