Thunder from the West

...rolling across Leesburg this afternoon! It was a short and sweet storm. Farther southwest in Tennessee, though, W's family had to take to their tornado shelter this morning. This is a tiny room built under the floor of their garage, with a bench and weather radio. We all piled in there once while visiting them, years ago. It was quite cozy to say the least, especially with ten people (two families of four, plus Harry and Ellie from next door).

Today we finally said goodbye to our 17-year-old van. It's served us well all these years. We bought it at the Toyota dealership in Gallatin, Tennessee when D was a baby and we were down there for a wedding. A year later the dealership was leveled by a tornado.

Tornadoes clearly have nothing to do with these small white and yellow flowers, though they were dripping from the rain. The extras show a little frog who visited our house tonight, first checking out the door frame, then progressing up to the glass at the top. He was moving!
