No blues tonight!

The exciting melodies of traditional jazz are still running round my mind. I expect they will be all night! The WI Jazz Evening went well - the company was good, the food was good (especially the desserts!) and the music, of course, was brilliant. We got the seven piece band to play a Kenny Ball number to commemorate his death this week. About fifteen WI members paraded their umbrellas and the band followed as we did a circuit of the hall. No prizes, but mine stood up well against the competition.
The event took place in "The Old Barn Hall", the social centre of our village. At all our events we take our own drinks, cutlery and glasses - it all adds to the fun.

Normous has gone to bed - I think I'd better shut down the computer before there's trouble!
