Space Ice Cream!

Mum is busy with this decluttering project. I need to keep an eye on her so she doesn’t get rid of any of MY stuff. And look what she found! Freeze-dried ice cream! The same that the astronauts use in space, apparently. And we’ve had it for years and years and now, she claims, it’s past the use-by date. By years. How could she let this happen??? 

It is an ice cream sandwich and a three-flavour ice cream slice. You can see them in extras. In my opinion, they smelled just fine. Mum was not as keen. We ended up tasting tiny little pieces of each of the three flavours and the sandwich too. It was a bit dry, but tasted distinctly of vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. I bet the astronauts eat this on the International Space Station for birthdays and parties! How cool is that?! Mum needs to get better at checking use-by dates on spectacular treats like these, though...
