A Very Odd Day

..... A no dog day :-(

Meg swallowed a rubber ball last September while away with Jamie and Aaron, snaffling it up while pinching another dog's food!   It might have worked it's way though naturally but today was the day when Plan B needed to be actioned.   We'd noticed a few warning signs that something was not quite right and as these had started occurring more often Tim and Jamie took her to the vet this morning.   An X-ray and an operation to recover the ball.   We're told she's fine afterwards and after a night on drip fed pain relief she should be home tomorrow.

So it's  been a strange day and the house feel very empty sans dog.   Assorted outdoor jobs have been done which is good but we'll both be glad to have our furry friend home tomorrow.   Sadly a trip away this weekend for Jamie to see his Mum has had to be postponed.

Anemone obtusiloba 'Big Blue', another of the plants from Aberconwy nursery, planted out in a semi-shaded bed by the front door.   'Big' is a relative term but it is a beautiful blue and promises flowers through the summer once it's established.
