Sandwiches and ice cream

These banners are outside European Desserts, a nice little shop in Canal Place downtown. It has, you guessed it, sandwiches and ice cream. It also has coffee and desserts. I visited it fairly regularly before the pandemic, but last year the owner wasn't wearing a mask until customers came in, and some of them weren't masked, so I stopped going.

I visited again about a week ago to get cannoli. He makes them fresh, so they're good. He was wearing a mask, and I had on my KN-95 plus my first vaccine, so I felt more comfortable. The owner said business has picked up during the pandemic, probably because more people are out and using the trails.
