In Deepest Devon

After a break of several months, today I picked up where I left off, on walking the Two Moors Way. This trail stretches from Ivybridge in South Devon, to Lynmouth in North Devon. In total it is almost 90 miles and crosses both Dartmoor and Exmoor. Having left the wilderness of Dartmoor behind last year, I am now firmly in deepest Devon. This is a vast area of rich agricultural land between the moors, that is sparsley populated and sees few visitors on its quiet byways. My blip today was taken from near the village of Colebrooke. The soil here is a deep red colour. Below the ploughed fields is the Exeter to Okehampton railway line which is in the process of being opened again to regular passenger services.
