Auckland City Art Gallery

On Friday 7 May we visited the Auckland City Art Gallery to view the Maori Contemporary Art Exhibition, which closes on Sunday.  The exhibition was interesting and informative.  The main blip shows a beautiful wooden ceiling at the gallery (top), and two of the art works (bottom).  The first extra shows views of the nearby cafe where we enjoyed a cup of coffee before visiting the exhibition. The second extra shows one of the art works that sets out a strategic plan in English, German and Maori, which makes interesting and amusing reading.
