The Might of May

No sooner does the blossom disappear from blackthorn bushes, than hawthorn hedges take over. A beautiful sight!

Have you noticed how 'everyone' uses 'may' instead of 'might' these days? I'm currently reading Big Sky - and Kate Atkinson's doing it, too. "You mean might!" I shriek at the page. But it doesn't listen. Glad I bought the book from a charity shop! ;-)
