Black crowned night heron

Today started out bright and sunny I got out for a morning walk to a lake just south of the lake I live by, it takes about 2 minutes to drive but I do not go often. This morning I seemed seemed to find several birds hanging around the lake This heron was hanging in the tree tops. Check out a few extra shots
