First Communion!

Today was our first First Communion! Asha's best friend Cami, the first in shot here. Her parents invited us and another school family, and then their family, to go take part and then celebrate at a restaurant afterwards. Because of restrictions we were all at tables of 4 for the meal...it worked out brilliantly for us as we were with Natalia & Merino and the kids had their own table too. Plus at this place there was mini golf and a trampoline - so for the 5 hours we were there the kids (Nate included) were just off rushing round like a little happy gang. It was so so lovely to see. The food was wonderful, mussels and a niçoise to start, paella, lemon sorbet, cakes, coffee and then shots of the local drink, hierbas. 
A day to remember - we got home zonked...I can only imagine how Cami felt after all the lead up and emotion around it!! Her Mom, Arlesiu, looked wiped out come the end of it!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Being invited into this important family occasion.
2) Long uninterrupted time with Merino and Natalia - so nice to have more time than just school-gate time.
3) These lovely kids - Asha's friends are all so lovely and inclusive with Nate.
