Determination....

The autumnal weather continues with the wind gusting through the day.
I love days like this where the wind just blows straight through me, swirling around me.

Standing watching the trees twisting with the wind.
The ground littered with baby pine cones and blossom which had only just recently flowered in the world.
The Red Kites speeding by overhead, dancing with the wind. Riding it so gracefully, a small flick of the tail changing direction instantly.
A clattering of Jackdaws explodes from the pine trees to chase a Kite off across the Loch. Not sure what they’re guarding but they didn’t want the Kite near today.
The pheasant is patrolling the bird feeders, erupting with a flurry of wings and a squawk every so often.

I have a brief walk to the Loch to watch the waves and enjoy the cleansing blow.

This tree always fascinates me, the determination to grow despite being in a precarious position. I love finding things like this, the Silver Birch growing in the centre of an Oak. The tree with its right angled trunk that has weaved around a fence and bushes seeking the light.
The determination of nature to find its way to life.
