Storm

There was a thunderstorm last night, the like of which I have never experienced before in this country. There was sheet lightning that lit the sky at all points of the compass around us with occasional vertical bolts of forked lightning hitting the ground. It lasted for almost 4 hours. Accompanying the light show there was initially hail, followed by torrential rain. The image shows hail accumulating on our roof after sliding down the solar panels. The ground was turned white by the hail.
This morning it was calm with a clear blue sky and sun. I spent the morning digging over and weeding the remaining section of the flower beds at the back and spreading compost, wheelbarrowed from the front. Job completed.
This afternoon I have taken some plants around to Wendy and enjoyed a chat sitting in her garden. It was sunny for most of the time and felt very warm.
Camera Club this evening with a presentation on "Abandoned Architecture."
