There were enormous towering clouds all around and short sharp showers with the occasional sunny period this afternoon.  Strangely sea fog was swirling around and obliterating parts of the coast of Fife and even the island of Inchkeith was invisible for a while yet the visibility along the East Lothian coast looked clear.  For a short time we heard what sounded like a fog horn at intervals but I think it is no longer operational on Inchkeith so have no idea what it was.  Perhaps someone might know.
The last time we were at Fisherow Harbour the yachts were still on the quay but the smaller boats don’t need to be craned in and we watched a boat being lowered from a trailer into the water with the car at a dangerous looking position on the slipway with its back wheels half submerged in the water.  Even during the rain showers the water was fairly smooth so it seemed a suitable photo for Bobsblips “Smooth” challenge today
