SALVIA greggii: Texas Sage

I love all the flowering SAGES & this TINY beauty, also known as Chihuahuan sage is a favorite.  It is most commonly this vibrant red, but also can have white, pink, orange or purple flowers.  

This perennial shrub is perfect for a low growing hedge.  It is
fairly insect & disease resistant, but it attracts butterflies & hummingbirds.
Like most SALVIAS, it is drought tolerant & requires very little care.. 

Angus was not impressed, but I am smitten. 

PS: My best friend & I had an adventure last night. We went out to dinner at our very best restaurant, in town. The food was delicious & it was a lovely night.
