Glorious Mud

I can't follow yesterday's Dartford Warbler I'm afraid, although we did have a good day's birding. We did a fine walk from Snape Maltings along the Alde estuary and up to Snape Warren. the weather was cooler and duller, but it was ok and we both added several species to our year lists, for me, one being this Black-tailed Godwit. Another species we hoped to see was the Woodlark - goodness knows how but I spotted one from a great distance as we sat having our packed lunch on the world's best bench which has fantastic views over the estuary.
