Careful eye being kept on elevated Coronavirus cases in Moray and rising cases in Glasgow. The Indian variant is now causing concern in England (530->1300 cases in a week) and is noted in these areas.

We watched the swearing in of many of the new Parliamentarians at Holyrood and the election of the new Presiding Officer, Alison Johnson, Scottish Greens.

This evening we attended online the Stevenson Lecture at Glasgow University with Professor John Curtice. During ‘What Happened – And What Might Happen Next?’ he analysed the polls and the Scottish Election results to assess what happened and why; and considered the implications for Scotland's continuing constitutional debate.
