Tarmachan Ridge

A fine out and back run along the Tarmachan Ridge.

Having turned up at the car park and seeing the hills enveloped in cloud it seemed rather unlikely that we were going to enjoy the fine views that this route has to offer. Bit of a shame, but having had such a good run of weather on the hills recently we couldn't complain.

Much to our surprise however,  about half way along the ridge and just after helping two very brave wee dogs down "the bad step" the cloud cleared. We were suddenly treated to blue skies with spectacular views in all directions. Two adults went from happy enough to far more excited than they probably should be!

The fine weather stayed with us for the duration of the run and once again we found ourselves back at the car park, on a high, thinking how bloody lucky are we?!
