River of Flowers

Friday: Tree Flowers

Drizzled all morning, wasn’t too bothered as I was busy doing family history ...
MrD on deliveries and glad of homemade leek and potato soup for lunch to warm him up.
When the rain stopped, I ventured out to the greenhouse and repotted a dozen strong tomato plants, there are another 5 weedy ones which I don’t hold much hope for :-((
Moved lots of seedlings out of the greenhouse, bit more space.
Noticed that the Horse Chestnut had a few flowers this year, they are on the “sunny side” of the tree so it’s difficult to see them https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/trees-woods-and-wildlife/british-trees/a-z-of-british-trees/horse-chestnut/
The little Oak Tree is a mass of flower sprays, I need to take a closer look - truth be told, I’ve never been aware of oak flowers BUT you have to have flowers to make acorns!
The Cordyline also has flowers forming, can just see the tips appearing - best seen from upstairs window.
Weekend starts here, have a good one!
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
