The Phoenix Rises

Glen Etive iconic photo no. 2

After a 5.30 start we headed off to annoch moor for the sunrise.

The -3C temp did not stop us standing in the dark waiting for the light to dawn.
Again the colour was disappointing, so the light on Black mount provided a second chance. It was better, but my exposure was too bright and a bit burnt out. The cottages at the ski lift were pretty, but the return to Glen Etive with Buchal Etive Moor now visable in all it's splendour, won the blip of my day.

The afternoon returning southward to see the Kites at Doune was spectacular, but the snow falling stopped the photography being anywhere near good enough to beat this.

Trabroun seemed to enjoy the weekend as much as I did. It was stunning and good fun to boot. Can't wait for the next one.
