Coastal Catchup

I've had a remarkable escape to wall-to-wall blue sky on the Flamborough headland.  My winter outfit was a little too much for the balmy temperatures but I had a lovely garden catchup with my sister and a delightful stroll down to the fog station where I found this wasp.  How could it be anything else?  I spotted it had green eyes in the back of my camera and thought it was different to the usual wasps I've found.  

It's only now (two days later as I catchup) that I find it's a bee! 
Nobody has confirmed that for me, so I guess I need to find out for sure now.
