Protests

It was a day of cloudy skies, sunshine, showers and protests.
I made it into the gallery this morning to watch Daughter #1 repairing and gilding a damaged antique picture frame before walking home and seeing a crowd of o peaceful Palestinian supporters at the foot of Castle Street. The flag carrying cyclist was blipped as we both headed towards Tollcross.

The showers started as a long march of disparate people ranged along the path beyond the railings. They were carrying banners which were hard to read but one seemed to say Unite for the Truth. Later, after a prolonged rain shower, as I did a circuit of the Meadows there were a few people drinking coffee standing around with banners saying Don’t Take the Vaccine. I am left thinking that this was what the march was about.
I’m sorry, but having read the statistics, I have to wonder what planet these people are on. Of course, in a democracy, they have a freedom of choice, but there will be no freedom of choice for the medical staff who will have to look after them should they get severely ill, nor of anyone that they infect.
