Wisteria time

Every morning in May this is what I see out of the kitchen window. It's long ago overwhelmed the trellis that supports it but it's so worth the propping operations that go on all the time. One of my dearest friends gave me the plant about 20 years ago and it's flowered madly since year one. She bought herself a wisteria at the same time which promptly fell off its perch, followed by several other failed attempts. She still has no functioning wisteria and I try not to gloat, at least not in her hearing!
