Sunny rose, stormy sky

What a day of dramatic weather! 
This photo was taken out of my front room window: on the right side bright sun shining on the rose (New Dawn, ironically) that grows up the front of my house, set against a filthy sky on the left side. 

The storms today seem just about right on May 17th, which marks a significant phase of lockdown lifting, just as new variant infections doubled in the last 5 days and has been found in 86 local authorities. One thing you can say about our "leaders", they are certainly consistent in their epic levels of incompetence.
