The dropped stitch

collecting cards

My grandsons both collect football cards and used to spend happy hours organising and reorganising them in special folders with plastic sleeves.

This album from another era, contains cards given away in cigarette packets from the company Carreras Ltd, Arcadia Works, London.
There were 50 Kings and Queens to collect in all, from William I (1066-1087) to King George V. It was published in 1935 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee, the 25th year of his reign.
