This cow had the most beautiful eyelashes. Unfortunately I couldn't get close enough to capture that detail. 

In fact, I have a whole day's worth of snaps of 'animals in the distance'. Never mind, I enjoyed seeing them. At this time of year the birds and the animals really are a delight as I drive round the countryside.

The highlight this evening was a snipe, perched on a fence post at the side of the road. What a fabulous little bird!
