The credit union down the street got a new look a week or so ago. I like the neon.
While I was walking to take this photo, I saw a rocket launch. There's a NASA launch facility on Virginia's coast, a few hundred miles from here. I just happened to look up and see a fuzzy cloudlike thing in the sky. There was a bright point of light in the middle. Then it faded away.
I recognized it nearly right away as a rocket. I saw the same thing in Florida once.
This was the KiNET-X mission and a Black Brant XII rocket. It launched from Wallops Flight Facility. The rocket will help NASA study the atmosphere.
