Brick.....

rhymes with 'Pick' which is the theme for today's Mono Monday hosted by Laurie54.

We headed south to sunny part-time sunny Devon this morning for a well earned holiday, probably not well earned, but well deserved!  We had actually booked this break last January on the off-chance lockdown would be over, so quite a coincidence it was on the day of hospitality easing, i.e. being able to eat and drink inside as well as in the hail, rain and howling gales of outside.

We went to Dawlish first to see Colin and had a nice chat and walk then sat at an outside cafe table and had coffee, no it wasn't Nero!  It's Colins birthday today, there's to be a small gathering of friends for a cream tea under the gazebo celebration of the fact tomorrow. I took the blip picture as we walked to Coryton Cove, a clever banksy'ish graffiti painting.  I actually think it looks better in colour, see extras.

We then drove the short distance to Dawlish Warren to pick up the keys for the ground floor apartment of the house where we are staying.  There is a lovely view of open park land to the front of the house and the river Exe with Exmouth beyond to the side.  It's a great setting, very quiet with some very nice walks.
