Erithacus rubecula

I just prefer to call this wee bird a Robin Redbreast.
Now that most trees are covered with bright green leaves it’s not quite so easy to spot the birds which a couple of months ago were searching for and gobbling up seeds left for them on top of stones, fence posts and crevices in trees.

Sparrows and a couple of goldfinches are still regular visitors to my bird feeder. My blackbird is too heavy for the feeder so he searches for seeds dropped by the smaller, lighter birds.

Deheaded my dead daffodils ..... the stems will have to wait till they die back and can be easily pulled out of the earth.
