Wisteria

After a break of eighteen months we were at last back playing Mahjong again. We have kept our friendship going in the meantime with Zoom meetings and garden tea parties. We assembled today in great anticipation, and amusement as we realised how the finer points of the game had been forgotten. But as we played it all began to come back to us. It was so good to play with the lovely tiles, and remember the amusing names of the special hands, such as Wriggly Snake, Unique Wonder and Windy Chow.
It wouldn’t be our Mahjong group if cake didn’t feature some time in the afternoon. We had pikelets, chocolate biscuit cake and marmalade cake.
Just outside the window was a glorious wisteria. I didn’t have to move far to get my Blipfoto.
