Hadlow Road

Tuesday has developed into geocaching day with Paul and today we found some caches on a linear walk along part of the Wirral Way which is an old railway line stretching from Hooton to West Kirby. We were able to leave one car near Heswall and the other at the old Hadlow Road station in Willaston. I have blipped this station on a few occasions and I'm pretty sure I have taken this exact picture before now.

The station is a Grade II listed building and has been restored to have the look and feel of 1956 when it was closed to passenger traffic.

Lands End to John O'Groats 1000 Mile Virtual Challenge Update

Day 99 -  Staffordshire/Derbyshire.  8.5 miles walked. 404.2 miles completed

It was a good stretch today passing through Newchurch, Six Roads End, Draycott in the Clay and finishing in Sudbury next to the A50 which is a very familiar road as I usually use it a few times per year crossing over to the East Midlands.
