Clitics

On Duolingo at the moment I’m doing a set of Portuguese lessons named ‘clitics’. I haven’t quite worked out the definition of clitics but one of the practice sentences was a very uncharming ‘I love her but not a lot.’ I don’t imagine many Duolingo users will need to whip out that one.

I watched videos of people inside beleaguered buildings in Palestine as the ground shook and children cried, and it was heartbreaking. Modern society is no less cruel and barbaric than before we had all of this supposed ‘advancement’.

The weather has been shocking. This picture was from inside my bubble friend Ali’s, shortly before she fed me a warming spicy beef stew.
