a blue sky day

Not forecast but a very welcome blue sky all day. The weather was so good we decided to stay in our bay, why move with that view in front of us. We invited my cousin and husband to stay with us and we are having a lot of laughs together.
The village has no roads and our cottage can be seen in the blip as the centre of the 3 white cottages above the right side of the village. Its quite a walk to get up there on an uneven wooded track and stone steps. Quite how these places have been renovated to such a good standard is a credit to the physical fitness of the builders. Apparently getting the range cooker up there was the biggest challenge.
A lazy day of strolls through the alley ways between the cottages, paddling in the sea, coffees in the cafe and long spells chilling on the patio watching the slow pace of the world in front of us. The evening was our first outing to nearby Staithe for a fish and chip supper at the Cod and Lobster whilst watching the tide fill the harbour.
Holiday days are just meant to be like this.
