In Tune

What a fun day. Seven of us riding down the Lea to Trinity Buoy Wharf with lots of mickey taking along the way. Jo hasn’t been out with us for a while but it was great to see her when she emerged on a side track from Hackney to join us. Jo very generously insisted on paying for the teas and, suitably refreshed, we set about exploring the riverside wharf.

Jo quickly spotted the tidal musical installation and, being a classical pianist, she tried out the keyboard hanging above the megaphone. We didn’t hear much of a tune so we turned for home via the Olympic Park. I bottled out of getting the gang to wait for me to snap a team of workmen erecting flag poles like that famous picture of the American soldiers planting the Stars and Stripes on a Pacific island. Wouldn’t that have made a great shot, but sadly it wasn’t to be.

Home late for a 3pm lunch and then down to work preparing for the photo society AGM.

What larks,
