Bird Cherry

Two signs of progress. At RSPB Leighton Moss bird reserve the hides have opened up again. Not many birds to see however. But the coffee shop has reopened and we had a hot chocolate. Just like old times.

In the reserve I found this Bird Cherry tree in flower. It is mainly a northern species and later in the summer it should have the silken pouches of the small ermine moth.

My only bird picture in extras was a Black Headed Gull sitting on its nest.
