OTOW Declared A Celebration.....

This evening On Top of The World  (OTOW) Hired 2 live bands to play in the Gazebo in front of the Recreation center.   They invited several food trucks to come and sell all sorts of dinner foods.  Everyone who lives here was invited to attend and celebrate together.  Florida is open, Ocala is open, OTOW is open.   We all survived the pandemic.
    I rode my bike over to celebrate and mingle with the people.   I went up to the overhead entrance and took some pictures from that vantage point.  I then went down to grass level and got the gazebo and band, a barbecue truck smoking chicken and pork, rows and rows of chairs lined up to sing and clap along, rows of golf carts parked, parking lots were full of cars, and many rode in like myself on bikes.  I would estimate 600-700 people singing along, dancing in the grass, enjoying food and  talking. and socializing.

      One of the amazing things about where I live is that the managers, the board of directors and the whole organization is very committed to keeping the activities alive, varied,  retirees active and healthy, challenged, to keep them interested in life.  There is something here for everybody.     
   This celebration is one way that OTOW is trying to get life back to normal.   They were very quick to cancel activities and shut down for safety and health concerns.   They are as equally eager to open and get things moving again to be grateful we are here together.
