The Firefighter

We had to be at the fire shed at 8am to board the tanker for our assessment at the Megalong Showground.
The were 24 trainees from various brigades in the mountains.
The equipment ID was easy enough (for those of us who had done some study anyway) but the hose rolling was hard work (by the time we had done three hoses each) and the simulated fire exercise quite challenging.
We made a few mistakes but learnt a lot and all passed.

Then we lined up for a group photo. Those under 18 were asked to hide their faces as parental permission hadn’t been obtained for it to go on Facebook.
Presumably the parents are OK with their offspring risking their lives fighting fires!!!!
