Tiny Tuesday . . . Mineral

This was my mothers ring.  It is not her engagement ring but one she bought in the 1970's because she could I guess.  It is sitting on a piece of polished Pounamu/greenstone that was given to us.  Pounamu can be nephrite jade, bowenite or serpentinite.  The diamond is a solid form of carbon.  The band of the ring is platinum and white gold.  I have ticked off a few minerals for freespirals last challenge.  The forester being a man points out that the perspective I have used makes the pounamu look bigger that it is.  It is actually just a small piece we have and it has faults in it so no good for carving into a toanga or treasured necklace.
