Coastal Landslip

Lots of cliffs in Devon and Cornwall have eroded after weeks and weeks of wet weather. Today, as we headed to London on the train, we spotted these guys working on the cliff face. (The line was closed for some time a few weeks ago during wild high tides and cliff-falls.) Shows up just how red the sandstone is in South Devon. This was between Teignmouth and Dawlish, where the track runs very close to the sea. The waves were big today, too, in the gales.

So now we're in London, where it's usually too hot, and finding it bitterly cold. Brrrr. Roll on spring! (Nice and warm in our room, though.)
