Dandelions and buttercups

Very busy work day, but I finally managed to get out for a walk just before 6pm - for the first time in ages.  I walked up to the heath, which was covered in pretty red grasses, dandelions and buttercups - quite a transformation since the last time I saw it properly - and paid a visit to the pond, of course.  It was very flooded and there were still no babies in sight.  I think I could hear a baby moorhen calling to its parent though, from one of the clumps of reeds in the middle of the pond - so hopefully they're still going strong.
