We had a zoom meeting of the  Glasgow Ghost signs team the other evening.  Mainly to discuss guided walks during Doors Open week.  However they also had a couple of new ones they wanted me to photograph.

I think this Printer is still trading at another site, but its the history of the building that is the main point of interest.   Before the printer took over it was the home of Askit Powders.  A home medicine which used the slogans - 'Ask for Askit' and  'Askit Fights the Miseries" .  And it was particuarly popular around here.  However it was also addictive, especially the original recipe which contained caffeine, aspirin, and phenacitin.   However the latter could lead to kidney failure in regular users and this resulted in a change of recipe in the mid 1960s.
