St Thomas A Beckett church Fairfield

Yesterday l set off to the Romney Marsh area to look at some of the wonderful old churches there. I have been wanting to see this church for quite some time and will definitely go back. The origins date back to the12th century although it has been renovated and restored quite a few times. It was set in the village of Fairfeld, long since gone and so now in splendid isolation in the flat countryside. I did not go inside, there is a key that hangs on the wall of a local house, but l saw another couple by the church and took a chance they would have it but no. I peeked in the window and it is mostly painted white, l shall get them next time.
