Trichy Job

Back in 2015 we planted a cactus bed in the former indoor fishpond (yeah, really..).  

Five and a half years later, it needs thinning.  Some of them are very, very spiky.

Despite deliberation, care and thick gloves, I spent a while with tweezers and a magnifying glass de-needling myself.  Ironically the problematic ones were these tiny spikes.
