Buttermere

Even more Unlocked

A lovely cloudless blue morning. We decided to go to Buttermere by bus to save having to find a parking place, and look  at the reflections on Buttermere.
It clouded over a little by the time we got there but that made the sky more interesting. We walked around at a leisurely pace and took some photos, although a section of the path is closed off to protect nesting sandpipers.
Just after we took these, a breeze blew up and caused ripples across the water, the reflections broke up and the weather changed and became warmer and more humid and eventually sunny and summery. Quite a noticeable difference. Back in Buttermere we had time to go to the pub for a beer before catching the bus back.
Photo is looking southeastish towards Gatescarth Farm, with Fleetwith pike on the right.
Extra is looking the opposite way.
