Piled up!

Yes, we had a lot more snow overnight - some of the drifts are close to a foot deep. This photo shows the snow piled up on the bottle brush in our garden. The news said that people had been stuck in their cars for 10 hours overnight on the A23. Women's Fellowship anniversary has been cancelled, so won't have to practise our two songs for that this morning...... it would have been lethal for over-80's folk (or even over-50's!!) to venture out in this - under the thick snow is a layer of ice. It wasn't a "special" anniversary as such as they celebrate every year (with a nice tea and a special speaker!) - so it's not that disastrous, just rather disappointing for them. I must admit it's nice to have the day to ourselves as Stuart's got a week off - we were making an exception by doing the WF singing, as we don't normally do church stuff when he's on leave. He's also got a school governors' meeting on Thursday, but this was the most free week we could find to take off before the end of the financial year. Hope the snow's not too bad where you are if you're in this part of the world :-)
