Weeds

Jamie came home this afternoon.   He's made excellent progress and we even stopped on the way home so he could do a bit of shopping!   He's still very sore and the twisting that transferring in and out of his chair involves is painful.   He'll be fussed over for a few days yet I suspect :-)

Dandelions and Welsh Poppies are the most prolific seeders in this garden.   As poppy seed persists in the soil for years, I may be fighting the battle for some time.   The Welsh Poppies are beautiful and quite common on roadsides here but they will outcompete some of my other plants so all but a few will be weeded out and I shall have to dead head those that remain.
