Stargazing.....

Todmorden has a highly respected amateur Astronomy Centre. Located  high on the moors near the border between Yorkshire and Lancashire. At an elevation of about 1112ft (339m), the main observatory is situated on a level plateau surrounded by a ring of low hills which offer protection against light pollution from nearby towns
This is the main dome  - for scale it is about 8.5m (28ft) in diameter.
They also have quite a few other telescopes and astronomy equipment on the site.
