Flower Friday

One of the daisies in my birthday bouquet which is still opening new blooms and looking as if it will last quite some time.  A bit of a painterly effect added.  Joined a Zoom session this morning for the funeral of one of our much loved church members and clergy.  Numbers for funerals have now been relaxed, but the building has to only allow in as many as can be socially distanced, so difficult to judge.  I knew they were going to sing outside afterwards, but decided to watch from home.   M was an inspiration to everyone.  Battling illness for many years she always had a smile and a cheery word for everyone she met - young or old, and a great way of welcoming newcomers and putting them at ease.  She could advise anyone who needed guidance, but always with kind and gentle words.  A fine example of Christian faith.  A sad day, but so happy to have known her.  She will be badly missed, but I don’t think any of us will ever forget that wonderful smile!
